Guarantees, Returns, Refunds and Exchange Policy

We want our customers to be happy with every purchase from Dirty Leather. If you are not completely satisfied we will do our very best to accommodate either a replacement product or a credit refund.

We offer a 7-day return or exchange or refund policy for any product purchased online. Returns can be requested by contacting us directly on our email sales@dirtyleather.co.za

You are welcome to return or exchange any unwanted product free of charge within 7 days, under the following conditions:

      • Where applicable, the product must be in its original packaging.
      • The goods are unused and undamaged.
      • The return cost is for your account.

All returned goods will be inspected to ensure that they are undamaged, unused, and in the original packaging.

Depending on where you are situated in relation to our depot, the time taken for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. An exchange product will only be sent after receipt of your original purchase, and the cost of the courier for the exchange product will be for your account.

Dirty Leather (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to refuse a return if the product shows signs of use, has been damaged or is not in the original packaging.

To complete your return we need your order number or proof of purchase.

Guarantees

All of our products are fully guaranteed against defects. If stitching is faulty within six months of purchase, we will repair the product for you. Any defect must be reported within 7 days of receipt of your item. Please note that natural marks and scratches form an integral part of leather hides, and reflect the life of an animal. These are NOT defects of the product.

Defective Products

Defective products can be reported to us by contacting us via email at sales@dirtyleather.webdev-creations.com. A product defect specifically excludes damage arising from the following:

      • Damage arising from normal wear and tear
      • Damage arising from any alterations to the product
      • Damage arising from negligence, incorrect use, or abuse of the product
      • Damage arising from inadequate care that could reasonably be expected.

Please note that natural marks and scratches form an integral part of leather hides, and reflect the life of an animal. These are NOT considered defects.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund or replacement.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed and paid into your bank account within 7 days. Shipping Costs are NOT included in the refund.

Returning your product to us

To return your product, either ship it to us using a courier company of your choice or send us an email asking us to arrange the return.

If you choose this option, you are also liable for the courier cost. Once we request the collection, you will receive an email with a PDF containing the necessary waybill. This must be printed and accompany the package when the courier collects it.

You should use a trackable shipping service or purchase shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Include your tracking number in the email you send us. If you did not get an email from us confirming that we received it, please send us the Proof of Delivery.

You may also elect to return it to Postnet Gordons Bay by notifying us in advance.

Send an email to sales@dirtyleather.co.za when you return your parcel with the reason for the return.
